Griselda is a very special one of a kind piece made for the CDHM Doll Pageant 2009. She has appeared in 'The dolls house Magazine' and 'Dolls House and Miniatures Scene'
She is 1:12 scale
Griselda is getting ready to go to the annual witches ball, she has a beautiful (in a witchy kind of way) ball gown made from striped green cotton, with hand painted pumpkin trim. Black lace at each cuff. She has matching shoes, stockings and underwear.
The back of the gown is pleated and has trailing bats on the ends of silk ribbon. Her hair is a mixture of brown and orange merino wool. She has Bats flying out of her wig and a tiny black hat to finish her outfit off.
She has painted her face with make-up to make herself look beautiful although she did crack the mirror when she took a look at her reflection!
Griselda was made from prosculpt and fimo, No molds were used or taken. She is a true one of a kind piece. You can see this in the detail of the sculpt.
She has handmade inserted eyes and she is painted with Artist acrylics.
Her costume was firstly designed on paper so we knew how the finished piece would look and was our original idea and pattern. It is all sewn by hand not by machine. The pumpkin trim is all hand painted.

Onslow

Onslow is loosely based on the popular character from 'keeping up Appearances'. He is a one of a kind sculpt, no moulds were used or taken. He is sculpted from prosculpt and has handmade eyes inserted to give a more realistic finish. Onslow is 1:12 scale.
He is painted with acrylics and wigged with dark brown viscose. His hair style is sparse to give a comb over wispy look!
Onslow is dressed in Jeans, T-shirt, an open shirt and a pair of Homer Simpson slippers. His outfit has been distressed and is 'dirty' to bring a lifelike quality to them. They are made using our own patterns and are all hand sewen.
He is holding a handmade remote control and a can of Beer also handmade by us. Onslow sits in his favourite chair although it has seen better days! It is very grimy and is held together with gaffer tape in places!
Onslow would bring a real sense of humour to any modern day setting, he is a true couch potato so as long as he can stay sat in his chair he will be happy! He is sculpted in a sitting position so he has a very realistic pose, his arms and legs can be gently posed. He is removable from his chair.

Santa is dressed in an old fashioned style of costume, striped pants, big black boots, shirt, red checked waist coat with gold button detail and a faux velvet robe with faux fur trim and matching hat finish the look.
The little girl is dressed in white stockings, red shoes, red checked skirt with black lace detail and a knitted green and black wool coat made for us by Jennifer Gibson. All clothes besides the knitwear are handmade by us and all are hand sewn.
