I have 'crafted' all my life - we are a family of crafters. The hardest thing to do is specialise. I want to DO everything. I started with childhood crochet, knitting and sewing and progressed on to parchment craft and 3D pictures, then card craft with stamping and layering techniques - and then I was bought a Georgian Townhouse kit house.
My father had made me a dolls house when I was 8 years old and I had so much fun making furniture and dressing dolls but I had to wait until I was in my forties to fully appreciate the whole spectrum of pleasure that miniature making can bring. Budgeting was the biggest problem - even when you make as much as you can yourself there are so many temptations at the shops and shows!!!! Then I discovered ebay...................... a perfect solution. I can make as many clothes, hats and wigs as I like and if I am very strict with myself I can sell some of them to fund the next. My ID handle at ebay is a combination of my beloved dogs - now sadly gone pugwashtrojan I always have something on ebay - hats, wigs, clothes, jewellery, accessories, occasionally a dressed doll and boxed goods for shops etc. I now have 2 houses, a hat shop and a bridal shop and a few new projects on the go!
